Ingredients:
- 2 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of ground ginger
- 1 tsp of ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp of ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat over to 350F.
- Mix together first 4 ingredients in large bowl.
- Mix sugar and spices in separate bowl and remove 1/4 of mixture.
- Beat butter into the sugar/spice mixture.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract, then add the dry ingredients into mixture.
- Roll dough into balls and roll into reserved 1/4 cup of sugar/spice mixture.
- Place dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, bake for 8-10 minutes.
