Ingredients: Black Tea

How to Make Chai

Bring 8oz of water to a boil

Add one teaspoon of loose tea. Add freshly ground or premixed chai spices (masala) along with the tea if you're looking to make masala chai and let it brew for 2-3 minutes.

Add milk and sugar to taste if desired. We like to add 1/4th cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar.

Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes and bring to boil.

Strain tea leaves and pour into a cup.

Relax and enjoy!

Good, strong tea for milk and sugar

Tea blend is what I need to start the day. I learned to drink strong, black tea with milk and sugar 60 years ago working nights in London’s newsopaper district (Fleet Street). If it kept printers going that was good enough for me. It’s a habit that stays with me.
